The Custom Series Lift is a parallel EQ based on passive designs. Controls are offered for low-pass, high-pass, low-shelving, two midrange parametric bands, and a high-frequency shelf. Each band has its own circuit emulation, behaving differently depending on whether you're boosting or cutting. The Custom Series EQ sports an interesting design wherein each band is modeled on a different classic equalizer. They are combinations of over a dozen analog EQ classics put into two dedicated equalizers meant to tackle the problem areas of your mix or emphasize and enhance the good spots. These are not strict one-to-one emulations.
Both plug-ins are equalizers and can be used in mixing and mastering contexts. It's also compatible with the original version of VMR. Available for download, the Slate Digital Custom Series Bundle provides two modules for the VMR 2.0 Ecosystem.
